TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please remember, an au-pair is not to be confused with a nanny or child carer and should only be left alone to take care of any children when you are 100% comfortable with the au-pairs ability to be able to cope with any situation that may arise. This also includes babysitting.
These terms and conditions are deemed to be accepted by the client on completion of the registration form.
This agency makes every reasonable effort to verify the integrity and suitability of family and Au-pair. However, we accept no responsibility for any costs incurred by cancellation or any negligent, dishonest or malicious act during a placement. Your acceptance of this clause is a condition of our supply of an Au-pair. DO NOT RETURN YOUR FORMS IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THIS CLAUSE.

Select Au-pair agency prides itself in providing the following services for our families and Au-pair NO REGISTRATION FEE. We will invoice you AFTER you have chosen your Au-pair. NOT before. Emergency Phone line: We will be available by telephone 24 hours a day for families and Au-pair.

Health insurance
National insurance contributions are not required for Au-Pairs. Au-pairs from EC countries should be eligible for NHS health care. Most non-EU citizens are also eligible for NHS treatment but some GP surgeries now have a small charge, so it's best to check first with your local GP/Health Centre, or if then still in doubt, check with the relevant embassy which will certainly know of the rights of its citizens in the UK. Please check when your Au-Pair arrives, what insurance, if any, she has. If the Au-Pair becomes ill the family will obviously have to continue to provide accommodation and food until arrangements concerning her have been made. Should the Au-pair fail to take up the position, a replacement will be found or a full refund made. All information provided to clients is confidential. Clients transferring information supplied by the agency and resulting in engagement of an Au-pair by a third party will be liable to pay the full fee for that engagement. If the client cancels the booking after the Au-pair has been engaged, and prior to arrival at the client's home, a cancellation fee of 50 GBP will become payable as long as the Au-pairs flight hasnt been booked and paid for. If the flight has been booked and paid for you will be invoiced for the flight cost. The Agency cannot proceed with the placement until the completed registration form has been received. The Au-pair is entitled to a minimum of 2 weeks notice of termination, plus pocket money. In the event of serious misconduct, either party shall be entitled to terminate the agreement with immediate effect. If the departure is as a result of misconduct on the part of the host family, the agency will have no obligation to replace the Au-pair or refund the fees paid. After 30 days, no refunds can be made. The Agency will endeavor to introduce suitable applicants as Au-pair. It is the responsibility of the client to be satisfied as to the suitability of the applicant. All fees are excluding VAT.
